3 Monaghan players nominated for All-Stars

Donegal lead the way with 10 nominations

Monaghan's Rory Beggan, Dessie Ward and Michael Bannigan have been included on the list of nominees for 2025 All-star Awards.

The list was released earlier this morning, beaten All-Ireland finalists Donegal lead the way with 10 nominees. Whereas, Kerry have nine. Meath, Armagh, Louth, Galway, Dublin, Tyrone, Mayo, Down and Derry are also represented.

Indeed, David Clifford is in the running to become the first player to be named footballer-of-the-year three times. Indeed, the Kerry forward, who won the award in 2022 and 2023, is shortlisted along with his team mate Joe O'Connor and Donegals Michael Murphy.

Armagh’s Oisín Conaty, Donegal’s Finnbarr Roarty and Galway’s Matthew Thompson are in the running to be named Young Footballer of the Year. Whereas, The awards will be announced at the banquet at the RDS on November seventh.
