Craig Breen with Paul Nagle on the notes, finished 4th over all at the Artic Rally in Finland in their Hyundai WRC.
The All snow event replaced Sweden in this years championship calendar, and seen the Irish pairing getting their first outing in the championship for 2021.
Having set the 2nd fastest time on the opening stage, the Waterford driver held that position on Friday night, before a slight drop of the pace on Saturday seen him drop to 3rd place followed by 4th.
With some more time loss on Sunday morning on the penultimate stage, a 2nd fastest time on the final power stage seen Breen secure the 4th place finish ahead of Elfyn Evans in the Toyota.
The rally was won by Breen's teammate Ott Tanak with Kalle Rovanpera 2nd in the Toyota and Thierry Neuville completing the top 3 also in a Hyundai.
That result for Rovanpera sees him leading the championship ahead of Neuville with the defending champion Sébastien Ogier in 3rd place.
Having only completed in the 1 round so far, Craig Breen is 6th and will be hopeful of more seat time at Hyundai.
Next up in the championship is Rally Estonia at the end of April.
