Roger Mc Dermott has worn the Monaghan jersey and seen his son claim an All Ireland with Derry

This Sunday, Monaghan and Derry renew their minor championship rivalry, when they meet in the All-Ireland final at 1pm in the BOX-IT Athletic grounds.

The two sides contested the Ulster final which went the way of Derry after a penalty shootout. It is expected to be another tight and closely contested encounter for the Tom Markham cup.

Roger McDermott is a former Monaghan player, who now lives and coaches in Derry. McDermott saw All-Ireland success visit his house in 2020, when his son Jody was part of the Oakleaf winning team.
