Aaron Mc Kenna made it a 15th professional victory with a technical knock out of David Benitez on Saturday in Coventry. It was the Silencer's first fight of 2022, but he had to much for the Argentinan from the first round with a number of indiscretions in the 7th seeing the referee bringing the fight to a halt. Benitez never looked comfortable from the start and visibly tired by the 6th round, before landing a deliberate low blow in the 7th that seen the referee dock him a point. This was followed up by him spitting out his gumshield which immediately prompted the end of the fight. It was not as good a news of Cavan's Dominic Donegan who lost out to Graham Mc Cormack for the Boxing Union of Ireland Celtic Middleweight Title.
