All-Ireland Ladies football championship line-up confirmed after the completition of the provincial championships

Cavan will face Kerry and Dublin in this year’s TG4 All-Ireland senior ladies championship.

As the 2023 TG4 Provincial Championships concluded yesterday, meaning the groups for the All-Ireland Senior and Intermediate Championships have been populated.

At senior level, defending champions Meath, aiming for a third successive senior title, find themselves alongside Ulster champions Donegal and Waterford in group B.

Meanwhile, group A features Connacht champions Mayo, Ulster runners-up Armagh, and Laois. While Leinster champions Dublin, Lidl National League Division 1 champions Kerry and Cavan will play in group C.

Whereas, Munster champions Cork, Connacht runners-up Galway and Tipperary are drawn in group D.

Intermediate Championship

Accordingly, 2021 and 2022 All-Ireland Intermediate finalists Wexford lost to Kildare in yesterday’s Leinster final. In group C Monaghan face Connacht champions Roscommon and Wexford.

Whereas, Kildare are in Group A with Leitrim and Louth. Clare, Tyrone, Offaly and Wexford are in a four-team Group B.

Meanwhile in Group D, newly-crowned Ulster Intermediate champions Antrim, who won the 2022 Junior title, will battle it out with Longford and Westmeath.

Tournament Format

Two teams will emerge from each group to contest the quarter-finals, in the Senior and Intermediate Championships. In contrast, the top two teams in each of the junior groups progressing to the semi-finals.

The 2023 TG4 All-Ireland Championships will commence over the weekend of June 10/11, with five Intermediate fixtures down for decision.  While, the senior championship gets underway on Saturday June 17, the Junior Championship roars into life on Sunday June 18.

Croke Park will once against host the 2023 TG4 All-Ireland finals, on Sunday August 13. Meanwhile the 2023 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship semi-finals will be played as a double-header at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday July 29.

The 50th year of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, will officially commence on July 18, 2023. Similiar to the GAA, the LGFA was founded in Thurles, but on July 18, 1974.

Group A: Mayo Armagh Laois

Group B: Donegal Meath Waterford

Group C: Dublin Kerry Cavan

Group D: Cork Galway Tipperary

Intermediate:

Group A: Kildare Leitrim Louth

Group C: Roscommon Wexford Monaghan

Group D: Antrim Longford Westmeath

Junior:

Group A: Sligo, Kilkenny, Limerick, Down

Group B: Derry, Carlow, London, Fermanagh
