The Orchard county gained promotion from Division 2 in 2020

It is all systems go for the return of the Allianz national footballl league this weekend. The meeting of the current league champions Kerry and Galway who welcome back Damien Comer will get the action underway tomorrow at 3pm in Tralee. That is followed at 5 with the meeting of Tyrone and Donegal in Healy Park Omagh. It will be a first competitive outing for the new Red hand management team of Fergal Logan and Brian Dooher.

On Sunday, Brewster Park will once again be the venue this time for the meeting of Monaghan and Armagh in Division 1 North. The Farney side having lost home advantage for this fixture, due to a breach of Covid 19 guidelines while the Orchard county gained promotion last year.

Armagh manager Kieran Mc Geeney remarked that a more tactical approach has to be taken to the modern game particularly at the higher level
