Arva booked their place in the Cavan SFC quarter-finals after a 1-17-14 point victory over Castlerahan in Crowe Park, Lackin.
At half-time, Arva led by seven points on a score-line of 1-10 to six points. Thanks to a 29th minute goal from wing-half back Dylan Maguire. Maguire ghosted through the Castlerahan defence and finished to the back of the net.
Arva opened up the scoring through corner-forward Jack Dobson. Castlerahan replied immediately with a point from the energetic and lively corner forward Jamie O'Reilly before the fourth minute.
Cormac Daly sent over a two pointer to leave Castlerahan with a two-point advantage.
Arva began to take control. Peter Morris sent over two-in-a-row before Conall Shorten added a free to give Arva a one-point advantage on 11 minutes.
Jack Dobson and Conall Shorten sent over a point apiece before Peter Morris added another point to leave it eight points to four in favour of Arva.
Castlerahan were reduced to 14 men when Oisin Kiernan received a black card for a trip on Kieran Brady.
Jack Dobson sent over a 19th minute free to leave five points between the sides. However, Dobson was then shown a black card by referee Pat Clarke.
Jamie Riley added a much needed point for Castlerahan on 22 minutes. However, Conall Sheridan replied with a free at the other end. Arva leading 10-points to five, three minutes before half-time.
A minute before the break, a kick out from the Castlerahan goals was won by Arva.
Dylan Maguire ghosted all the way from the half-way line and put the ball in the back of the Castlerahan net. Arva leading 1-10 to six points at half-time.

Castlerahan came out at the start of the second-half converting an attacking mark free through Shane O’Reilly.
Oisín Ciernan added a Castlerahan free to leave just five points between the sides with three minutes played.
A two-pointer free was converted by Conall Sheridan scratched out Castlerahan early scores. Jack Dobson added a point from play on the 40 minutes to restore Arva's seven-point advantage.
Castlerahan recovered as Cian McCabe sent over a free before Thomas Partington added a score for Arva at the other end. ARva leading 1-16 to 10 points on 48 minutes.
Castlerahan started to take control of the ball game from here to the end.
Oisin Kiernan sent over a free before a point from Peter Morris. On the 55th minute, Oisin Kiernan added another from play before David Wright and Jamie Clark raised white flags.
However, it was too little too late for Castlerahan as Arva saw out a victory 1-17 to 14-points.
Arva go on now to play Crosserlough in the quarter-final. Whereas, Castlerahan look forward to a relegation playoff.
