Arva have too much for the Kildare outfit

Arva progressed to the All-Ireland junior final after a 12-point victory over Milltown.

The Cavan champions raced into a six points to three lead before Barry Donnelly’s early goal. Finbarr Reilly's side led 1-8 to four points at half-time.

Kildare champions Milltown found back in the second-half but had no real answer to Arva’s questions.

Milltown pulled a goal back eight minutes after the break, due to a mistake in the Arva rear-guard. However, points from Kevin Bouchier (3), Jonathan McCabe and Donnelly saw Arva home.

The Cavan champions will now face Listowel Emmets of Kerry in next Sunday’s All All-Ireland club junior football final in Croke Park. Arva winning out 2-16 to 1-7.

Listowel hammered Mayo’s Lahardane MacHales 1-11 to three points to book their final berth. The game throw’s in at 1:30pm in Croke Park next Sunday.
