The Ulster Council have moved to allay any fears that they could be an issue with the surface for the Senior final this weekend at

The Ulster Council have moved to allay any fears that they could be an issue with the surface for the Senior final this weekend at the Athletic grounds by having effected areas re-sodded.

Ahead of this weekends decider at the Armagh venue, the playing surface has been given some remedial work.

Concern was raised about the field following the Ulster semi final between Cavan and Down last weekend, with both goal keepers in particular appearing to have difficult with underfoot conditions.

It is believed the works should be completed by today, while the weather forecast for the weekend, would look to be favourable as well with it set to be a cold but mild Sunday afternoon with temperatures between 7 and 12 degrees.

Donegal manager Declan Bonner did highlight his concerns on the condition of the field earlier this week when the venue was announced
