Update: Cavan to meet Down at 5:15pm in Kingspan Breffni this Saturday.

Cavan will face Down in the quarter-final of the Tailteann cup following on from this mornings (Monday 12th) draw.

The Mourne men accounted for Longford in the preliminary quarter-final last weekend and were joined in bowl 2 by Carlow, Wexford and Laois. Cavan, Limerick, Meath and Antrim were in Bowl 1.

The other pairings will see Antrim taking on Carlow, Meath facing Wexford and Limerick taking on Laois.

Cavan will have home advantage in that last eight encounter with throw-in time set for 5:15pm. It will make for a busy weekend at Kingspan Breffni as it will host that Tailteann cup quarter-final on Saturday. While, a double header in the All-Ireland series on Sunday see’s Dublin take on Sligo and Tyrone facing Westmeath.

Elsewhere, Limerick meet Laois in TUS Gaelic Grounds at 3pm. Meath v Wexford in Páirc Tailteann at 4pm. Antrim will meet Carlow in Corrigan Park on Sunday at 1pm.
