The provincial football and hurling championships will be the focus once again this weekend with a number of teams from the region involved. In Ulster the focus will be on the Junior championship as Sean Mc Dermotts will look to continue their fine run of form by making it 3 wins from 3 when they face Downings of Donegal in Ederney at 1pm. The Monaghan champions overcame Fr Rocks of Cookstown in the preliminary round before overcoming Belleek of Armagh in the Quarter final. On the other side of the draw Denn who over came Naomh Comhghall of Antrim in the quarter final will face Desertmartin of Derry, with that game also throwing in at 1pm in St Tiernachs Park Clones. Carrickmacross Hurlers will also be in action as they face Na Magha of Derry in the Junior semi final again at 1pm in Carrickmore Co. Tyrone. Those 3 games throw in on Saturday.
