It is set to be a busy weekend of motorsport action. The Night navigation trial season wraps-up while the Irish forestry championship gets underway.
On Saturday night; Donegal Motor club host the final round of the Squealing Pig Border championship with their navigation trial.
Evin Hughes and Packie Duffy currently top the leader board with David McCrudden and Martin Tynan in second place. Whereas, Greg Shinnors and Andy Mackeral complete the top three.
With the best four of the five rounds counting it is still all play for.
Cranford Community Centre is the headquarters for the trial with crews set to compete over a 75 mile route. The first car is away at a quarter to nine.
Whereas, Sunday, will see the opening round of the Irish forestry championship been hosted by the Carlow Motor club.
Defending champions Derek Mackeral and Eamon Creedon are the number one seeds in their Ford Fiesta R5. David Condell and Michael Coady are at number two in their Ford Fiesta R2 and Gareth Miminagh and Barry McCarney complete the top three also in a Fiesta.
Shane McGirr and Denver Rafferty are the top modified seeds in their Lada VFTS. Six stages will be competed over in a format of three stages been run twice.
