Carrick Cruisers made their debut in Division 1 of the national Basketball league last weekend, when they just fell short away to Malahide, but further history will be made this Saturday evening when they host their first home game at the Phoenix centre in Carrickmacross. Sean Mc Caffrey went along earlier this week to the centre where he caught up with Eugene O’Hanlon who remarked from the outset that they were still coming around to the thought that national league basketball is coming to the town
