An eight point victory over Killanny secured Carrickmacross Emmets the Monaghan Intermediate title.
Aaron Lynch and Matthew Carolan (2P) kicked Carrickmacross into a three point lead inside the opening five mutes.
Conor Grimes opened the scoring for Killanny with a point from an acute angle after six minutes.
Aaron Lynch, Donnacha Swinburne, Fionan Carolan and Karl McMenamin all added points as the Carrickmacross lead was extended to six points after 15 minutes. Carrickmacross leading 0-7 to 0-1.
Eddie Walsh got a much needed score when he split the posts with an 18 minute two-pointer for Killanny. Reducing the deficit to four.
Aaron Lynch added another point to his personal tally before two efforts from James Maguire, a two-pointer after 20 minutes and a single score three minutes later pushed Carrickmacross into an eight point lead.
Danny Leegan and James McGuire traded scores, before Jack Kiernan kicked a two-pointer on the brink of half-time for Killanny.
Carrickmacross took a seven point lead to the break, 14 points to seven.
Eddie Walsh opened the scoring in the second-half as Killanny looked to claw their way back into the contest. Aaron Lynch responded for Carrickmacross before Killanny hit a purple patch over a seven minute period.
Scores from Eddie Walsh, Oisin Burns and Killian Collins brought Killanny back within two after 45 minutes.
However, a Stephen O Hanlon point after 49 minutes brought the Carrickmacross scoring draught to an end.
Dualta Honney got his side’s final point on 59 minutes. Indeed, Honney found the back of the Killanny net four minutes later sealing an eight-point victory.
