The first silverware of an unusual year went to the Cavan camogie team after they claimed the Nancy Murray cup following their 2-14 to 1-03 win over Tyrone in Pairc Gratten Inniskeen on Saturday evening.
Two goals from Hannah Boylan helped the Breffni women to a six point lead at the break despite playing against the breeze and they continued their fine form in the 2nd half finishing with 14 points to spare.
While the result was always fairly comfortable the Breffni captain Erinn Galligan wasn't getting carried away.
Cavan will now face Roscommon in the Premier Junior All-Ireland Camogie semi-final.
