Kingscourt Stars and Cavan Gaels got their Hotel Kilmore Cavan Senior Football Championship with victories on the opening day of the campaign.
Kingscourt Stars secured a comfortable six point win with a 1-13 to 10 point victory over Lacken.
Kingscourt were always in control and led 1-5 to five points before moving clear ahead of the second water break winning out 1-13 to 10 points.

Meanwhile Cavan Gaels opened their campaign with a three point win over Killygarry winning out 1-10 to 12 points. Paul O’Connor finding the Killygarry net on 15 minutes.
The game between Castlerahan and Shercock was postponed and is to be rescheduled at another date.
