Cavan could pick up their 3rd piece of silverware under Micky Graham tomorrow when they contest the inaugural Tailteann cup final. From his appointment in late 2018, his side has lifted the Anglo Celt cup in 2020 as well as the Division 4 league title earlier this year which also gained them promotion to Division 3 for next season. The former Breffni star remarked the positive attitude the panel have, particularly with approaching this new competition after their loss in the provincial series
Westmeath have also embraced the secondary championship competition and were very impressive in their semi final win over Offaly. Forward Ronan O'Toole noted that they have improved with every outing.
