Cavan hurlers score six-point win over Lancashire in Lory Meagher cup

Cavan now have two wins from three games.

The Cavan hurlers picked up their second win of the Lory Meagher cup campaign beating Lancashire 2-25 to 0-21 at Antrim. Lancashire opened up a four-point lead on 28 minutes. Dillon Mulligan’s goal on the stroke of half-time made it a one-point game; 0-12 to 1-8. Peter Boylan restored Lancashire’s one-point cushion seven minutes into the second half. 60 seconds later Liam Og Cooke restored parity. Canice Maher’s goal eight minutes from time gave Cavan a four-point cushion. The Breffni men followed up with seven of the next eight scores and ran out comfortable winners.
