Cavan miss out on Lory Meagher final despite convincing win over Leitrim

Cavan missed out on a Lory Meagher cup final place despite a convincing 7-19 to 0-18 win over Leitrim at Drumshanbo.

First-half goals from Sean Keating and Brian Fitzgerald helped Cavan lead 2-14 to 0-7 at the break. Joe Murray and Gavin O’Hagan collectively amassed 0-6 for Leitrim.

Cavan found another gear after the restart. Goals from Canice Maher and Brian Fitzgerald gave the Breffni men a 15-point lead on 47 minutes.

The visitors continued to show ruthlessness. Further goals from Nicholas Kenny (two) and Cillian Sheanon resulted in a convincing victory.
