The last 4 will be confirmed this Saturday

The last 4 of the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna cup will be decided this Saturday with final group games throwing in at 1:30pm.

Monaghan have secured a semi final spot but it remains to be seen if they will be the best runner up or the winner of their group.

A 6 point win or more for Derry over Fermanagh will see the Oakleaf county top the group on score difference.

With another game to look forward to before the start of the league at the end of the month, farney manager Seamus Mc Enaney is happy to have an opportunity to fine tune his panel

While it was a loss for Cavan in the opening round to Armagh they more than made up for it in their 2nd game with a 15 point drubbing of Tyrone to give themselves a chance of making the last 4. Armagh and Tyrone will meet in the final group game this Saturday at 1:30pm in O Neill's Healy park Omagh.

The defending champions and indeed All Ireland title holders will have been stung by that heavy loss to the Breffni county even if it was only their fringe players that were involved andĀ will be looking to make amends on their home ground.

A win for the Red hand County would see the 3 sides finish on 2 points each, but Cavan do have a +15 scoring difference which would see them top the group. A win or draw for Armagh would see them qualify.
