Cavan's Edel Gaffney has won a silver and bronze medal at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland.
Gaffney (Trim AC) claimed a silver medal at the 8km cross country race; she led a strong Irish squad that also included Longford's Fiona Getttings and Aoife Parella (Star of the Sea AC).
Less than 48 hours later, Gaffney ran a wonderful 36.12 to claim the bronze medal at the the W35 category of the 10km.

The Cavan woman is an exceptional talent whose application and dedication has been rewarded with a winter of great masters athletics successes following her debut at the masters international cross country in Santry.
