Clones were crowned Monaghan junior football champion following a 1-6 to 0-6 victory over Killanny in the decider at Aughnamullen.
Clones started better and were two points up inside eight minutes before Eddie Walsh eventually opened Killanny’s account six minutes later.
Darren Freeman and Eddie Walsh traded a point each during the remainder of the half as Clones led 0-3 to 0-2 at half-time.

Killanny got their noses in front 19 minutes into the second half but three minutes later, Clones opened up a two-point gap when Freeman found the net.
Fabian Beggan added another point one minute into injury time as Clones finished with three points to spare.
