Clones Town FC cease John Delaney Park as grounds name

Following an extraordinary general meeting held on Thursday 23rd July. Members of Clones Town football club voted to cease using John Delaney Park as the name for the club grounds.

The club grounds will now be known as Clones Town FC grounds.

Speaking to Northern Sound earlier this month former Ireland international and Clones Town manager Johnathan Douglas said that the vote is a "massive deal".

According to the Clones man, the name has tarnished a little bit of the club, but that it hasn't taken away from the great work that people do in the club. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show Johnathan said that the vote is a long time coming.
