On the local GAA club front in Cavan following the completion of the opening round of fixtures in the Junior and Intermediate championships, the draws for the 2nd rounds have taken place. In the Junior grade, Shannon Gaels take on Templeport, Munterconnaught face Swanlinbar, Redhills take on Kildallan, Drumalee go up against Mountnugent, Kill take on Drung and Killashandra will meet Belturbet.
The intermediate championship will see Butlersbrige facing Lacken. Knockbride taking on Cuchulainns, Cornafean meeting Killenkere. Baileborough go up against Drumgoon, Denn taking on Drumlane it is Shercock against Ballymachugh and Cootehill taking on Lavey.
