The Monaghan senior management team, would appear to have lost another member as Conor Laverty has taken up the role of manager for the U20 Down team.
The Kilcoo clubman was ratified by the Mourne County board last night (Thursday) and has named former All Ireland winning manager with Meath Sean Boylan as part of his back room team along with Marty Clarke.
Laverty is also involved with the Monaghan senior management team along with Seamus Mc Enaney, but his role now with the county may now be in doubt as he takes on the U20 job.
It will be seen as another blow to the "Banty" as his strength and conditioning coach Peter Donnelly has returned to Tyrone, to work along with the new management in place there Fergal Logan and Brian Dooher.
David Mc Cague and Ray Boyne are the other members of the management team.
Monaghan retained their Division 1 status upon the resumption of the National league, but their Ulster championship campaign was short lived as they crashed out to Cavan after extra time in the preliminary round.
