The Cavan senior team return to championship action this weekend when they have their first outing in the Tailteann cup. Down will be the visitors to Kingspan Breffni on Saturday at 2pm with the winners progressing to the quarter finals. Cavan will enter the game as strong favourites having reached the Ulster semi final as well as winning the Division 4 league title while the Mourne men were relegated from Division 2 in the league and lost heavily to Monaghan in the provincial quarter final. Killian Clarke noted that it would be important to bring the consistency they had shown so far in the league and at stages in the Ulster championship into this weekends game

Throw in for that game as noted is at 2pm and we will have full live coverage on Saturday sport with thanks to Erne Motors Toyota Dublin Road Cavan. Entry to the game is by ticket only with tickets now on sale via the GAA website or from participating Super Valu and Centra stores. No tickets will be on sale outside of the ground.
