With the motorsport calendar wrapping up for the year, the attention is already turning to 2026 and their will be an increased Irish focus on the World Rally championship. M-Sport Ford have announced that Jon Armstrong will be joining Josh McErlean as part of their team for next season with both drivers set to be on the start line for the championship opening round in Monte Carlo at the end of January.
While in the Junior world rally championship the Cavan pairing of Craig Rahill and Conor Smith are set to compete in the Junior competition in an M-Sport Poland Ford Fiesta Rally 3. The 2024 Billy Coleman Awards winner took 3rd overall this year in the Junior European Rally championship in what was a first time competing at that level
