Crosserlough opened their Cavan senior championship defence with a big 15 point win over Castlerahan.
Five first-half goals saw Crosserlough lead by 17-points at half-time. 5-8 to six points. Two goals from Dara McVeety and one each from Stephen Smith, Matthew Costello and Brandon Boylan saw Crosserlough ahead at the break.
Whereas, the defending champions went onto to score seven second-half points to win out 5-17 to 17 points. Indeed, McVeety landed a total of 2-3.
