Crunch time in the Ulster U20 championship

Cavan, Donegal, Tyrone and Derry remain as the last 4 standing

The semi finals of the Ulster U20 championship throw in this evening (Wednesday). In Owenbeg Derry who are strong favourites for provincial and indeed All Ireland success take on the defending champions Tyrone while in Ballybofey Cavan go up against Donegal who are unbeaten so far in the competition. The Breffni side finished 2nd in their group before accounting for Down in the quarter final last Wednesday. Speaking after that victory, manager Larry Reilly noted they would expect to face a tough test against the Tir Chonnail side

In Connacht, Roscommon and Sligo meet at 8pm with the winner to face Mayo in the provincial decider. Meath are through to another Leinster under-20 football final. The defending champions beat Kildare last night by 19 points to 1-8. Louth are also through to the decider - they beat Dublin by 14 points to 11.
