A one point victory over Clonoe O’Rahillys saw Cuchulainn’s into the Ulster intermediate football final.
Bryan Magee opened his sides coring after five minutes.
Turlough Farrelly and Philip Smyth added further points for the Cavan champions before Adrian Taite found the back of Clonoe net after 17 minutes.
Cuchulainn’s leading by points after 17 minutes, 1-4 to 0-3. Both sides traded further points, as the Cavan champions took a one point lead to the break.
Cuchulainn’s led 1-6 to eight points at half-time.
The second goal of the afternoon landed after 37 minutes when Evan Doughty put Cuchulainn’s into a five point lead. 2-7 to 0-8.
Evan Doughty, Turlough Farrelly, Niall Magee and Cian Doughty added further points as Cuchulainn’s moved into a four point lead in injury time at the end of the second-half.
Clonoe did raise the green flag with the final play of the day when they were awarded a penalty but it proved little more than consolation for the Tyrone champions.
Cuchulainn’s held out to book their place in the Intermediate provincial decider, running out one point winners, 2-11 to 1-17.
