A three point loss to Kerry champions Cromane brings an end to Cavan Gaels championship campaign.
Cromane started the stronger racing into a four point lead. Before Katie O’Meara scored two frees, halving the deficit after 15 minutes.
A Cromane goal a minute later extended the lead to five for the Kerry champions.
Katie O’Meara and Marian McGuiness added points for Cavan Gaels as Cromane took a five point lead into the break.
At half-time Cavan Gaels trailed, 1-7 to five-points.
Sarah Clarke and Laura Galligan both registered points for Cavan Gaels. However, the Kerry champions responded with points, keeping their noses in front.
After 43 minutes Cromane led by four points, 1-9 to eight points.
Karla Brady and Katie O’Meara got the final scores of the afternoon for Cavan Gaels. It wasn’t to be as Cromane progressed to the junior All-Ireland final.
