Following on her win over 800m last week, Clones athlete Denise Toner completed a middle distance double with a brilliant turn of pace in the home straight to win the 1500m in the W40 category at the World Masters in Tampere Finland yesterday evening. (Thursday). The Fermanagh native always looked comfortable as she carried the pace at the head of the race and pulled away on the final turn to win in a time of 4mins 36seconds.
This evening two more Clones athletes Donna Evans who has already claimed a double Gold last week is joined by compatriot Irene Clements as they contest the Road 10k
