Kingscourt Stars setup a Cavan senior final meeting with Gowna after a dramatic last gasp win over Ramor United.
Sean McEvoy got the opening two scores of the game for Ramor before Kingscourt were rewarded a penalty for a foul on Padraig Faulkner. Jordan Morris calmly converted the penalty.
However, Kingscourt’s lead was short-lived. Another McEvoy point and a Conor Bradley score brought the sides level with 10 first-half minutes remaining.
The sides remained evenly matched heading into the half-time interval. Indeed, Sean McEvoy’s two-pointer was responded to by a Padraig Faulkner two-pointer less than a minute later.
It was once again an even start to the second-half. Whereas, a goal once again proved to be an important factor in the game. Cian Dermody claimed a high ball into the square and made no mistake in burying it.
With the game looking to be getting away from Ramor, James Bradley got them back-on-track before another McEvoy free-kick. Liam Brady’s two-pointer with eight minutes remaining set-up a grand-stand finish.
As the board went up to signify two minutes of additional time, Brady sailed over a 45 to edge Ramor United in front.
That was before two quick-fire scores stunned Ramor and sealed victory for Kingscourt.

Kingscourt Stars winning out 2-12 to 17-points and will meet Gowna in the Cavan SFC final.
