Emmet Og ladies are continuing their celebrations following their first ever senior championship success with a victory over Donaghmoyne on Sunday past. Having led by a point at half time, they then found themselves 6 points down as Donaghmoyne looked like having done enough to claim back the title they lost last year for the first time in over 2 decades. However the introduction of Ellen Mc Carron seen the game turn back in favour of the Emmets as she set up Sarah Tierney for a goal before raising a green flag herself
Speaking after the final whistle the former county forward noted that her inital thought was to go for a point but knew a goal was required
Emmet Og will now enter the Ulster championship where they will await the winners of the preliminary round meeting of the Derry and Cavan champions. The County final has yet to take place in the Oak leaf county, while Lurgan were crowned senior champions in Cavan at the weekend
