Having suffered the disappointment of relegation last year, there was joy for Emyvale on Sunday when they claimed the Monaghan Junior championship.
Goals from Stephen Askin and Andrew Stewart helped register a 2-22 to 1-14 win over Sean McDermotts.
Their strength in the junior ranks also saw them qualify for the league final, an opportunity to complete the double.
Man-of-the-match goalkeeper Conor Forde kicked three 2pt scores, said; they have been dealing with the pressure of expectation all year
Emyvale will now also go into the Ulster championship where they will face the Donegal champions Carndonagh in two-week’s time.
