The FAI have confirmed the following clubs have been awarded licences for the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Season.
Club Licence awarded - Premier Division
Athlone Town, Bohemian FC, Derry City FC, Drogheda United, Dundalk, Finn Harps, Galway United, Longford Town, St. Patrick's Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne FC, Sligo Rovers, Waterford FC, UCD AFC.

Bray Wanderers, Cork City FC, Cobh Ramblers FC, Treaty United FC, Wexford FC.
