GAA championship is now a knockout

Monaghan will be looking to make it back to back wins

For many the senior football championship gets properly underway this weekend as the competition enters the knockout stages; the preliminary quarter-finals.

Roscommon take on Tyrone, Derry face Mayo, Cork are up against Louth and Monaghan make the trip to Galway. The farney side claimed their first win since January, accounting for Meath in last Sunday’s final group game in Kingspan Breffni.

Speaking to Sean McCaffrey; GAA pundit and Coach Diarmuid Scullion noted it was great to be back talking about Monaghan winning.
