Gowna marched into the Cavan senior football semi-finals after 11 point victory over Cavan Gaels.
Gaels were never in the game as Gowna came out of the block strongest and dominated proceedings.
Gowna found the net with just four minutes on the clock. Conor Madden's goal the opening score of the game.
Eoin Hartin found the game's next score six minutes later, putting Gowna 1-1 to no score ahead.
Evan Fortune replied with Gaels first score moments later. Gearoid McKiernan added two points to make it a one point game.
The sides exchnages points through Tiernan Madden and a Declan Meehan free. That would be Gowna's last score of the half on 19 minutes.
Conor Brady 0-2, Tiernan Madden 0-2 (1f) and Mark McKeever moved Gowna 1-7 to four points ahead at half-time.
Gowna didnt let up after the restart. Cian Madded 0-2 (1f) and Robbie Fitzpatrick put nine between the sides after six second-half minutes.
Gearoid McKiernan found Gaels first score of the second-half on 38 minutes. Gaels first score in 19 minutes.
McKiernan added a second point moments later. Robbie Fitzpatrick moved Gowna eight clear on 42 minutes.
McKiernan found his fourth point of the day on 46 minutes to make it a seven point game.
Oisin Pierson put the game beyond doubt with eight minutes remaining find the net for Gowna's second goal.
Ryan Donohoe ad, Cian Madden (2) tagged on points for Gowna with McKiernan getting the final score for Gaels as Gowna won out 2-14 to nine points.
Gowna will now face Crosserlough in the semi-finals.
