Armagh lifted the Anglo Celt cup after extra time

Armagh landed the Ulster championship after a titanic battle with Monaghan in Clones on Sunday past. The Farney men came back from seven points down to force extra-time in a classic encounter. However, an Oisín O'Neil goal in the first period of extra-time helped the Orchard county to a two-28 to 25-point win. Monaghan manager Gabriel Bannigan noted his heart break at the loss but pride in his sides performance

Next up for Monaghan is Mayo in the All Ireland series on Sunday may 31st in St Tiernachs Park Clones.
