The focus this weekend will be on hurling and ladies football as the Allianz National football league takes a break.
In hurling, Cavan opened their Division three campaign with an impressive win over Sligo in Kingspan Breffni on Saturday past.
It was a first outing for the Breffni side as they seen the round 1 fixture against Mayo cancelled due to the storm.
Manager Ollie Bellew noted; the victory was a massive boost as they now prepare to travel to Ruislip to face London.
In Division 4, Monaghan suffered defeat to Louth last weekend and will be looking to pick up their first points when they make the trip to Brewster Park to take on Fermanagh.
Fermanagh have one from their two outings, that coming over Longford.
Ladies football has seen both Northern Sound teams get off to perfect starts. Monaghan share top spot with Galway in Division two after their wins over Roscommon and Tipperary and make the trip to Donegal this Sunday.
Cavan are similar in Division three with six points on the table following wins over Down and Louth. Cavan have their first home game when Carlow are the visitors to Kingspan Breffni.
