Following on from his recent debut at the Senior European Indoor championships, Cian Mc Phillips will now be focusing his attention on the U20 championships.
The Longford athlete recently set an Irish indoor U20 record and certainly wasn't phased by his senior debut in Poland. His achievement is all the more impressive considering that there is no indoor athletic track available in the county.
Irish hurdler Ger O Donnell noted that the lack of local amenities for athletes is disappointing.
