Colin O'Brien's side suffered a 5-1 defeat.

The Ireland U17 side suffered a 5-1 defeat to Poland in their Euros Opener in Budapest.

Ike Orazi gave Ireland the lead five minutes in before Poland dominated the remainder of the contest.

The Poles were clinical on the attacking front. The goals coming from Mateusz Skoczylas (two), Dominik Szala, Karol Borys and Szymon Kądziołka.

Next up for Ireland is a meeting with Wales on Saturday afternoon before facing tournament hosts Hungary in their final group game on Tuesday.
