Last two semi final spots up for grabs in Monaghan

Inniskeen, Latton, Truagh and Clontibret are all vying for the last 2 spots

The final four in the Monaghan senior football championship will be completed this Sunday with a double header of quarter final action. Clontibret and Truagh will get the action underway on Sunday at 2:30 in Castleblayney with the winners set to meet Ballybay in the semi final, while Latton and Inniskeen throw-in at 4:15 with Scotstown the defending champions awaiting whoever comes out of that encounter.

Inniskeen had been unbeaten up until last Sunday when they suffered a heavy defeat to Scotstown in the final group game. Manager Oisin Mc Conville remarked that the standard of competition in Monaghan is very high and he believes it is a case of trying to maintain that during the championship
