Leona Maguire five off lead after Irish open first round

Leona Maguire finished the day, one-under-par at the KPMG Women's Irish Open at Carton House.

The Cavan native opened with a birdie before dropping shots and finishing with a one-under-par 72.

“I feel like I hit a lot of good puts” explained Maguire. “I had a nasty lip out on three. I hung over the hole on 10 and on 12 as well. I mean that’s golf”.
