Leona Maguire finished the day, one-under-par at the KPMG Women's Irish Open at Carton House.
The Cavan native opened with a birdie before dropping shots and finishing with a one-under-par 72.
“I feel like I hit a lot of good puts” explained Maguire. “I had a nasty lip out on three. I hung over the hole on 10 and on 12 as well. I mean that’s golf”.
“Overall, happy with how I gave myself lots of chances and maybe take more advantages of the Par-5’s tomorrow”.
Switzerland's Chiara Tamburlini and Spain’s Blanca Fernandez are the clubhouse leaders after shooting six-under-par rounds of 67.
Whereas, Emma Flemming is best of the Irish and two shots off the lead. The Dubliner shot a 69 today to sit on four-under-par.
Anna Foster and Aine Donegan both carded rounds of 71 to sit on two-under par. While Sara Byrne is one-over midway through her opening round.
Whereas, Roscommon’s Olivia Costello shot a three-over-par 76.
