Leona Maguire is just one shot off the lead after day one of the LPGA's Drive On Championship. Eight birdies and two bogeys saw the Cavan native shoot a 6-under-par first round of 66 to leave her in a tie for third on the leader board. Have opened with even par on the first 2 holes, a bogey on the 3rd was followed by birdies on the 4th and 5th with another been added on the 9th to take the turn on 2 under. A further bogey on the 10th was then followed by a run of 5 birdies over the final 8 holes to finish in the clubhouse on 6 under.
Leona will tee off at 5:35pm Irish time this evening in round 2. Stephanie Meadow is one-over after the opening round.
