Leona Maguire leads the Meijer Classic on the LPGA by three strokes heading into the weekend.
Maguire started on the back nine and registered one eagle and seven birdies including five birdies on her opening nine holes.
Maguire’s landed birdies on 10 12, 13, 16 and 18. The Cavan woman then took a wobble on the first and second landing bogeys on both holes.
However Maguire recovered with a birdie on the par five fourth and a further birdie on six before an excellent eagle on the par five eighth and rounded out her round with a birdie on the ninth, to sign for a 64.
Maguire leads on -15, three strokes clear of Australian Su Oh. American’s Lindy Duncan sits on -11 with a group of five sitting on -10.
Maguire goes into the third round after a very consistent second round.
