Leona Maguire looking forward to teeing of at KPMG Irish womens open

The Cavan Golfer last played the event as an amateur

Leona Maguire tees off this lunchtime on day one of the Women's Irish Open at Dromoland Castle in Clare. Out on the course, Aideen Walsh heads the home challenge on level par after 12 holes of her round. Klara Spilkova of the Czech Republic and Englands Annabel Dimmock top the leaderboard on 6 under through 16 holes. Leona is in a group with her Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew, who won the last Irish Open at Kileen Castle in 2012. The Cavan golfer played in the tournament as an amateur and says it was a great experience:
