Leona Maguire takes top 12 finish in Thailand

Leona Maguire carded an eight under-par 64 for her strongest round at the Honda Thailand tournament to finish joint 12^th.

Maguire carded eight birdies in a bogey free round 64. Birdies at one, two, four, 10, 14, 15 and 18 saw the Cavan woman home.

The 64 made it 19-under-par for the tournament, seven shots off Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Xiyu Lin’s 26-under-par.

The Dane Madsen prevailed in the play-off with an eagle putt to win on the LPGA Tour for the first time.

Maguire will be back in action at JBTC Classic on March 24^th.
