The Ladies Gaelic Football association have confirmed to their members, that collective inter-county training will not resume prior to March 5th and that a 4 week window of preparation at the very least will be given ahead of the return of competitive action.
Similar to the men's code, the LGFA had hoped to have their leagues start at the end of this month, but the extension of Level 5 restrictions has enforced a change to the schedule.
A management committee meeting held earlier this week considered the advice by the Gaelic games Covid Advisory Group and decided that no activity could return in line with the Covid 19 restrictions. A reminder was also given that any breach of the current guidelines would be dealt with as a high level offence.
It was also noted that all pitches and gyms would remain closed for the time being.
