Toome and Sean Mc Dermotts will contest the Universal Graphics Junior championship final in Monaghan this Saturday (6th November) when they meet at Pearse Brothers Park Ballybay at 2:30pm. Toome are unbeaten so far in the championship as they overcame Aghabog and Drumhowan in their last 2 outings, having topped their group, while the Sean's have saved their best football for the knock out phase of the competition as they accounted for Killeevan and Oram at the quarter final and semi final stage to make it back to back final appearances. Normally it is the Packie Boylan cup that is been competed for, but with that particular cup been retired at the end of 2020, the newly commissioned Liam Stirrat perpetual cup will now be presented to the winning captain. Declan Stirrat is a son of the late Liam and he spoke to Sean Mc Caffrey about the honour the family felt to have a cup named and presented in memory of their father
